Many of you have asked about gifts, which is of course thoughtful and kind. So let us first say, clearly, THERE IS NO OBLIGATION TO GET US A GIFT. None. Your attendance, which involves your time, expense, and crossing a large body of water after 2 years of hibernation is the best gift we could receive.

We appreciate that some people really want to give something because it's their tradition (and part of why I'm writing about this is, in the absence of a registry, a few people have simply taken the initiative and sent something!), so here are a couple of options for those of you who are still inclined:

2. Or, Greek tradition. You will see our Greek guests giving little envelopes of money at the event. This is a centuries old tradition that's about as simple as it gets.
